Marriage Story Review - Carside Reviews

Marriage Story is my favorite Netflix movie to-date. It's an emotional ride full of joy, sorrow, pain, regret, jealousy, laughs and relatable moments. I have never seen a film capture a relationship in such an honest, raw way before. Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson absolutely shine in this film along with the rest of the supporting cast. Charlie realizes that Nicole still loves him as a human being even after the divorce was really powerful and the fact that she ties his shoes as a gesture that she still cares really made me feel emotional. Really satisfying ending. Glad you appreciate it

Glad you reviewed this, really wasn't sure I wanted to see it.
Last time I tried to watch a "couples having issues movie"(not even going to name it, still gives me nightmares!)myself and the Mrs. didnt agree on, well, anything after seeing it and as a result I've avoided these kinds of flicks like the plague since!
Anyway, good review, I was curious and I appreciate you're point of view so I'm gonna chance it!

60% is brilliant and 30% was Irritating. Disappointing but still a great movie.

This movie bored me to tears. I dont get why people are being so positive. Everyone in it was an awful petty person and Scar Jo was a huge bitch the whole time.


BUT with that being said, Adam Drivers character raped someone in the HBO show Girls.

I wanted to like this movie but it was terrible. It didn't have any direction or a fucking point and that is important. Truly sick of movies just ending because they cant figure out how to properly wrap things up. This movie was a 100 percent pointless the only thing you walk away with is the fact that you never want to get married.

You watched this twice? Wow. I'm steadily reminded that I made the right decision by never having kids or got married because 99 percent of my friends that did are miserable. My friends that are married dont even like coming to my bachelor pad because there reminded that they work twice as hard as me but have half as much as me because they have a bottomless pit of a child. This movie was dull and depressing and too long for things not to be resolved. Oh wow at the end she let's him have the kid on her night while she is happy with her new man and ties his shoe get the fuck out of here so sick of these non endings in movies it's such a cop out any ending good or bad would have been better.
