Do you have a child aged 5-9 who has reading challenges or delayed progress? If you're a parent, caregiver, or an educator, join this program to learn some literacy tips and about the nature of dyslexia.
Presented by the International Dyslexic Association, Ontario branch. Also presented in partnership with Selwyn Public Library.
Kathryn Hayes-Waldhuber is a Learning Resource Teacher with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. She is a former consultant with past portfolios supporting the strategic priorities of all students reading by the end of grade 1. Kathryn facilitated and co-constructed the current HWDSB Reading Strategy based on the Science of Reading Research. A former kindergarten teacher, Kathryn was recognized as a ‘Dyslexia Aware Teacher of the Year’ global finalist for the Nessy Learning Programme. Kathryn is also an Orton-Gillingham trained classroom educator, a proud parent of a dyslexic daughter and is dyslexic herself.
