40 years ago there were Israelis who talked about a massive weapons cache which Israel had confiscated in Lebanon, supposedly an amount of weapons that was beyond belief. Then in 2014 somebody stored a massive amount of nitrate explosives in Beirut which was being removed bit by bit until it was sabotaged. A little over a year ago Lebanon gave warning to Israel that they were looking at pursuing an avenue that Israel had a hand in the port explosion. Today 'national interests' are so muddied that nationals do not know who owns their weapons, nor who controls them.
