In this video I will build out a flow that demonstrates how to perform fuzzy matching in Tableau. We'll perform the fuzzy matching technique on two lists of companies. One list contains a standardized list and the other contains a non-standardized list, and we will match them together using Tableau's algorithm.

Thanks for posting this. I sure wish Tableau Prep had more of a fuzzy join, as opposed to this grouping feature! I'm working with a .csv file and need to match it up to our CRM to pull some IDs. But since our CRM is riddled with duplicate records, I'm not seeing how grouping would necessarily help, especially since I need to identify a single CRM ID for each matched record in the .csv file.
