great point from Walsh - most people are good, and (understandably) don't want to be labelled "racist", "whatever-phobe", "bigot", etc
So to label someone racist - when you know FULL WELL that they aren't racist - is exploiting the goodness in that person.
So not only is it dishonest, it's literally evil.

I'm glad that this is being discussed. My mother was VERY liberal in her political views. She was born in 1954, so she was very much so apart of I guess the "traditional" leftist ideologies etc. However, that being said, over the last 5 or 6 years or so here she has literally completely abandoned the democratic party and aligned herself with the Republican party because of the fact that these modern day "progressive leftists" have totally lost their minds. She HATES the fact that if you asked a democrat one question that based on their answer to that single question, you could literally predict their entire political stance on just about every other issue because they're stuck in those echo chambers and algorithms etc. She says that nobody on the left is able to even REMOTELY think for themselves anymore or come up with ANY original thoughts. So if these modern leftists can push away and lose someone like my mother who has voted blue right down the balat of every election, then that's how you know that something has gone terribly wrong etc.

There was a time in high school where I was walking back to the school after lunch and came across a fight happening outside. There was a crowd watching but nobody was intervening. For whatever reason I felt the need to break it up and yelled at them and got close enough they finally heard me and got off each other and just ran opposite directions. Multiple people thanked me for breaking it up later. It's important to remember that we are a social species that has some herd instincts. Meaning that a lot of people struggle to do anything that is perceived to be against the group, even if everyone in the group is thinking they should do or say something. Thank you both for standing up and saying something, people need to see there are those that still believe and will fight for truth and reality.

Matt is right. If the people in the US were fighting just to find a meal and adequate shelter each day then we wouldn’t be concerned at all about pronouns.

I used to be mildly liberal, now I am a far right extremist. The curious thing is, my politics have remained exactly the same.

6:30 hit the nail on the head. I just can't understand it. I haven't moved an inch in any of this. I'm still living like it's 1999 and the people in the world just keep getting softer. Speaking your mind is bare minimum "courage". Like he said, it should be the default. The standard. You can speak your mind without being hateful, and ignore any mislabels they throw at you, knowing that you're just standing your ground. Billions of people on this earth are with you in spirit, yet they want you to feel like an outcast for speaking up. That's a facade

I remembered in school the "critical thinking" questions in textbooks and how I ALWAYS got them wrong.

It's because they weren't questions for you to think critically about, they were designed to make you answer with the "correct" response. There was only one single answer in those questions and it's often not in the book. You weren't allowed to answer differently.

The primary difference between the way things were, and they way they are now, (or at least appear to be) is that we used to treat mental illness, whereas today we celebrate it.

I'm 20 years old and this gender ideology is so new I didn't hear anything about it when I was in school.

Things have went downhill fast, I'm scared for the future.

Courage isn't the LACK of fear... it's OVERCOMING fear.

It's not the labeling really that's the problem. It's the mislabeling.

They keep saying they don't want to be judged or that they don't judge, and I'm like - Dude! When you're labeling, you're judging! And if you think not being judged is a good thing - think again, sunshine! You need judgement to orient you, and to tell you where you are on the bl00dy map! Your real issue is whether you think the judgement was fair and objective.

There's also the stupid notion that the negative judgment is the ending that sticks. And I'm like - DUDE! You know how improvement works, right? Seriously.

This psychosis is also happening in Europe, especially Germany because most Germans are „fluent“ in English. I myself am left, but damn this shit gets crazier and crazier every day even in Germany. These dumb newly invented words to label you as something or just in general this new focus on verbalizing everything into a very specific identification is and if you’re not with them your something they just invented is getting out of hand. You can’t say anything anymore. I accept them, but this is just too forced

I think for a lot of people the real life risk is that you can be fired from your job for having opinions and thus no longer be able to provide for your family. It’s fine to not care what people think of you but it’s hard to not care if you get fired for saying something that is objectively true.

When I was in 3rd grade, in 1988, we had to read a story about a Mexican girl who didn't like speaking English. When she got home and spoke Spanish, she loved how beautiful the Spanish language was. So we were taught that our language isn't as beautiful as other people's language, and our existence is oppression against immigrants who come here and have a superior culture.

I was born in 91 and was raised in a really nice neighborhood in the central valley and what I remember the most about growing up is that the culture was changing all around us as the drugs and gangs started to move in and target the children. I remember in high school that it was impossible to get crazy drugs like meth or coke, but it was easy to get pot and ecstacy. (What we called thizz) and looking back I couldn't even contemplate what it would have been like to have taken a pill that we got from our school campus that could have killed us. And looking more deeply at my past I can't even believe how normalized the debauchery was for everybody. If you weren't doing drugs you were at least at every party getting drunk.

A lot of the more straight laced kids of course hit the books and went to college but everybody who was from a broken home like I was, was seduced by having a good time hanging lose. Partying and skating, playing guitar and video games etc etc.

What has changed in my view is that the problems have scaled so out of control that everybody who believes there has to be a way to restore balance to society and turn things in a positive direction are taking on more radical positions. At the same time the gang violence amongst the teenaged demographic has exploded...

I often talk to my childhood friends who are all in their 30s right now and are having kids go through the same life as we did to see if our little sliver of paradise was still there in our grade school and they all say the same thing. That you can't just be a kid anymore. You always have to be a little jr model citizen now and I just feel a deep unsettling fear realizing there aren't many places in the United States left where you are just taught an education. It's just insanity and the thing is that they aren't trying to stop the violence, they are just trying to redirect where the guns are pointed before the triggers are pulled.

Liberals say that they care about people but it is where they live that these problems manifest and spread out to infect everywhere else.

They are exploiting the fact that too many are obsessed with not how virtuous they actually are but merely how virtuous they are PERCEIVED to be. That makes it easy to make them march in a parade of shallow symbolism no matter how right or wrong the issue is because that's all the work they have to do. There are more people that only want to work in a soup kitchen long enough for them to get photos of themselves being virtuous so they can post them on their facebook page than there are people genuinely concerned with sacrificing a whole day helping anyone.

Also so many people don’t even believe this shit is happening. Like my mother. She drives me nuts. Refuses to believe there are substantial numbers of kids undergoing trans hormones and surgeries and 4 year olds identify as trans and shit like that. It’s just a few crazies and I’m suspect for even bringing it up. My dads isn’t so different himself. It’s like they have such blind spots. The certainly don’t support this stuff but they also refuse to believe it’s even really happening. Again I’m the weird one for being up something that is clearly just the work of a few fringe crazies.
“So what?” They say. “There have always been crazy people. We had trans people in our day as well.”
I just want to scream at them, “No! It’s mainstream! Don’t you pay attention?!”
