HTML Web Design Tutorials - Hyper Text Markup Language. This HTML Web Design Tutorial will show you how to setup your HTML document to send a web form through your website to your email address. The disadvantage of this method is that the end-user will have to have a desktop client for email setup. If they do not have a desktop email client they will not be able to send the email result to you that they have filled out via web form.
In order to have web form results sent your email address you have to use the action html attribute, method and enctype html attribute. Using these attributes in combination will allow the web form to be submitted via an email address.

why does this code not work if i use a gmail email id in the mailto part?
nothing happens on clicking submit button. The page appears to refresh very fast but no email is being sent.
Is the "mailto" keyword now deprecated?

Very helpful, Xaratemplate. The email opened and some part of my form appeared so what you have suggested would certainly work. Thank you for that. I had a problem that, on a radio button, only the same answer came out on the mail whatever was pressed and I think this is that I missed something somewhere as I used a form I'd created and saw yours was different. When I get my side right - I know your side will work. So very pleased about that.

I noticed that someone typed that you should improve the "video" - and as I was playing it I was wondering what they were talking about. You had it nicely paced and explained a very difficult concept simply and spoke in a fluent, succinct way that was easy to follow. It was great. I think the issue he was on about was the "video"itself i.e. not you but the size. I'd zoomed in at the start and so didn't think about it until I closed it. Tiny point. Thanks for posting and please keep more coming.

Good series and very informative. I have a question. I've read in numerous places that putting an email address in the html code will likely result in it being detected by spambots and will almost certainly get the address added to lots of junk mail lists. What's your opinion?
To follow up, is there another, more "spam-proof" way of accomplishing this?
