Danny Trejo is the most wholesome dude who looks like he could rip your spine out because you looked at him wrong. Dude looked at his stereotypes and was like "Nah Imma do the exact opposite" What a dude.

The reason the Muppets feel real is because the puppeteers just genuinely love their work and care for eachother. They're a family just like the Muppets themselves. And if you act alongside them, you're part of the family.

No, he is a friend and mentor who has filled holes in hearts when they were needed. If you can look at the muppets and only see puppets, then you are so many levels of dead inside that the devil and god would argue whose trash bin you belong in.

They are alive and I can see they're alive and their faces do not have emotions but I can see it in their eyes
Also have you ever hugged a puppet
It's the best thing ever
The arm in there makes them *feel* alive, physically

I dont know anyone who didn't enjoy working with the muppets (outside of their snl start) amd i honestly don't want to. Everyone who has have these 2 reactionsv
1. being impressed at how immersed they get into it that they see yhat they are treating the muppets as they would other actors. Forgetting that they're puppets on someone's arm or a giant bodysuit.

2. Acting like a muppet themselves and having a freaking ball in the process.

This is only partially related, but like literally one hundred percent of people that ever work with Muppets think that they are real people, and talk TO them, to the point where producers will literally put microphones on the PUPPETS rather than the puppeteers and not realize that's not gonna work.

and wish him condolences via puppet?
That could have gone either very poorly (him thinking the puppeteer was making light of a very serious moment)
Or exactly as it did, Danny feeling comforted and felt able to let go, to not be strong, and just cry into a felt frog.
