Religious people are LIARS or FOOLS?

Not quite. Stephen is quite articulate and specific in what he says. He said any single person who tells you that they "know" what happens to a human being after they die is either a liar or a fool.

He didn't say believe. He said know. Now, many people may confuse these two things, but Stephen isn't one of them. Stephen is an incredibly compassionate, gentle human being. He understands the value of beliefs.

He does not call all Christians fools or liars. He calls all Christians who have lied to themselves that they "know" what happens when they die fools.

We do not know, nor should we pretend to know. We can believe in the word of God made manifest called Jesus Christ. We can believe in His word, that through him we shall have life everlasting. But that is belief, not knowledge. Faith is not science, it is not knowledge. It is faith.

I've encountered a bad habit among men in the evangelical strain of Christianity wherein the toxic masculinity of the culture they're raised in makes them feel the need to assert that they "know" things when they do not. It makes them feel stronger in their beliefs. We must not allow ourselves this comfort. We do not know, yet still we believe.

That is the way, the truth and the light. If you knew, you could not believe, for then you'd know. Christ wants us to believe without proof. He wants us to do better than doubting Thomas. Thomas lost the gift of faith and was cursed with the gift of knowledge. Once he knew, he could no longer believe and be counted amongst the faithful. He was simply a man of knowledge at that point. Sad really.

You didn't understand the argument. No one "knows" what happenes after death. You "believe" that there is something. Which is no better or worse than blind guessing.

A person is free to believe in any "deity" and what the religion of that "deity" proclaims, and live their life by it. But for those who don't believe such things, there's no reason to consider those proclamations as relevant to their life.

Stephen is an up front, honest guy, and he doesn't hide his beliefs. He is smart and funny... But sometimes when he talks about God he sounds like a petulant child.

What you don't have, nor could provide verified evidence for, is "divine revelation". You have people who made claims, only.
