Unboxing the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, the cheapest phone in the Moto flagship family of 2024, with an early review of the camera tech, gaming performance, battery life and beyond. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is a decent all-round stock Android smartphone, boasting some rare features like IP68 water and dust resistance. But it's also up against stiff mid-range competition.

The OnePlus Nord 4, Nothing Phone 2a etc also offer solid specs at a similar price. Still, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has a satisfying software setup and a respectable enough camera, if conditions aren't poor. You do get a special enhance mode for tricky HDR situations and a night mode, which help out. Plus this Moto's battery life is dependable, even for more demanding users.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion doesn't let us down in the performance department. I've seen a couple of judders when using the camera, but this phone can handle games like Zenless Zone Zero without completely melting. And if you want a bright and poppy display backed by stereo speakers, the Moto Edge 50 Fusion doesn't disappoint there either.

It seems to be a pretty solid phone for the price. I’d argue that this is all you really need. The market is over saturated with extremely expensive devices which don’t really do much more than these mid range phones do. Sure you might get slightly sharper photos, slightly better video quality, but do you really need it? Most people don’t, but they still spend over 1000 on something that is not benefiting them. No judgements on people who want a £1000 + flagship. But if you went back to 2011 and told people that the top of the line iPhones and Samsung phones were going to cost more than a decent desktop computer, they’d just laugh at you.

I might pick one up to last me for the next 4 years or so. Thanks for the review.

As Motorola churns out so many phones these days, i wish they would do a smaller compact smartphone 6" like the zenfone 8 or 9 and still keep it running fast and on the latest Android...Bet it would be popular too 🙂

Crazy we get the edge 50 pro here in India for around this very ~GBP 349 price point, while this fusion starts at around ~GBP 219.
Else, it usually is the opposite price point in foreign vs India as it is for all major brands like Samsung, Apple, etc.

Ive just bought a motorola edge 40 neo, used on facebook for £100, and what a phone, great 144hz display, insane battery life (6 hours screen time with 45% remaining), and a more than capable camera. It also feels lignt, thin and very pocket friendly at only 6.5"

I got it for 349.99 pounds on the Motorola website. Great phones for the price. I love the camera, Hello OS is great, the material on the back is lovely. Overall a perfect phone, don't like the smell though. I got it in marshmallow blue.

They need to release a decent mid-ranger with 6" or less screen size, light weight. I got the Edge 50 fusion. Only complaint with it is the screen size.

I've used Moto phone around 2017 or 18 i hope i can used them again at some point.. i really like their OS with so many useful features but they're not popular in my place people used Xiaomi OnePlus iPhone Realme etc.. but if i can buy them right now I'll give it a go..
