i'm still so fucking impressed by how Miyuki Sawashiro does this. like she doesn't just change the tone of her voice, she changes the inflections and the lilt of her voice to the point that they sound so incredibly distinct yet similar at the same time.

I think the shogun voice probably suits it more for general use... it's got that more serious and lower "you're screwed now" tone and feeling when you're just dealing with the riff-raff of normal combat. Ei's voice is maybe more anime and emotive, like during an action packed story section, where I guess the line variation is from. --also it's probably harder to edit over the original and make seem proper, compared to just a video piece cut like your other alternate bursts, since I could hear the original under it still during the fight. :V--

For those saying that Shogun sounds more intimidating than Ei and Ei sounds scared... XD just so you know, Ei used to be like that before. She's a warrior an a "cold" killer. It's just that she's more relaxed now cause shogun is doing her job.

Raiden Mei and Raiden Ei shares the same seiyuu, Miyuki Sawashiro. Miyuki has voiced the original Raiden, Raiden Mei, for so many years now, so it is only natural that she does an outstanding job voicing Raiden Mei’s alter, Ei.

Shogun's voice tone feels as if it's a dead body, like emotionless and as if it's a REAL puppet, whole Ei's voice tone feels like a lively person who is alive and has emotions

I love how this detail in the voice is the same no matter the language. Anne Yatco does the English voices for Ei, the shogun puppet, and Makoto, and she does such an amazing job.

All three of them have very similar voices, but each one has subtle yet distinct differences that make it really easy to tell which one it is. The shogun puppet is flat monotone and has the deepest pitch (very slight difference); Makoto has the lightest tone and a higher pitch; and Ei kinda splits the difference between the other two

Raiden ei One is good but she feels anxious or smth so i dont really feel it i prefer the shogun one bcs she is more secure
