Excellent video. No BS at the beginning, a whole bunch of great information, then the video ends. Spectacular. All Youtube videos should be like this.

What carbon steel would you recommend for making a cooking griddle? I'm looking to make one for my wife but not sure which type is food safe. Thank you.

Would steel with an SAE number of 1520 be good steel?
From your Diagrams that would be Carbon steel with Manganese content of 1% - 1.65% and 2% Carbon.
I have no understanding in the topic, is this good steel?

So what grade of steel or combo of materials would resist the action of a Sawzall and angle grinder? What confounds a cutting blade? I'm trying to devise a way to defeat the catalytic converter dirtbags by beefing up a series of steel reinforcement tubes that would be welded on the exhaust pipe, any suggestions?

Excuse me sir, i still don't understand. As i know, , carbon is more brittle than iron. But why when we mixture carbon and iron. It can be stronger and harder than pure iron?
