Sony Ericsson U8i Vivaz Pro

It's not an Android phone, iPhone, or Blackberry, but I've had the phone for a bit now and can say the Vivaz Pro overall is a good phone. Reviewers do complain that the touchscreen isn't capacitive like the iPhone, but it's responsive enough. The slide out keyboard is built well, and Sony did well with the camera and mp3 player. Symbian S60 is kinda outdated, but if you simplify the interface a bit (going from 5 pointless sliding wallpapers to 1), it makes it less sluggish and way easier to use

@xobabe13 yes it is a great phone but sometimes it will glitch if you get a text just as you turn it on but to get past it you just hold the new message icon then click exit. that is the only problem with it.

@howaboutstefanie yeah i got this phone because i wanted a phone with smartphone capabilities without needing to pay a data plan.
Its an okay phone. Kinda slow, and screen scrolling is not responsive. And the user interface isn't efficient. Too many clicks in order to do the smallest task.

But the handling of the phone is really nice, and the camera is amazing

when i looked at a online store it says that the u8i pro only has 5.1 megapixel, doesnt it have 8 megapixel camera?

I have this phone and the only good points I like about it is that the camera can take some really clear shots and the way the media player function. Unfortunately, the screen has become haywired and always select an option that I don't want to. I'm guessing that there's something wrong with the touchscreen function.

This video is right about the internet browsing however, it's not the greatest. In terms of our standards for smartphones overall, the phone borderlines a bit, being an awesome media centered phone due to Sony's experience in that area, but also a mediocre smartphone, the outdated OS, lack of multi-touch, and slow internet browsing to blame. It's not perfect, but definitely not a piece of shit phone, especially when it isn't targeted to the "high end" smartphone buyer
