I am extremely privileged to have started my filmmaking career in a 10 month internship where I had access to an FX6 for a couple of shoots and it is honeslty an absolute, genuine pleasure to shoot with, and it alone plays a huge roll in me beginning my journey in filmmaking. I have spent LOTS of time investigating what the perfect documentary kit would be for me. I shot my first doc recently on my a7iv, and I love the results (although I won’t be able to sell the doc to a streaming platform as the a7iv isn’t supported).

I hope to build out a full frame rig on my next doc with the following:
1. Full frame sensor (and Netflix approved)
2. Small hd monitor (for EL zones)
3. Tentacle Audio recorders (with 32 bit float) with cos lava
4. 35mm prime lens with character
5. DJI rs3 with LiDAR autofocus

My wife and I just finished a documentary short for Tribeca, that has also been making it's rounds in other film festivals, we are in the middle of another full length doc, with another in pre production. We just started our new company, and we're looking at this camera as what to buy and have on hand instead of having to rent all the time. This would be such a huge gift, fingers crossed!
