2 mins of knocking on someone’s door in the middle of the night in civilian clothes then kicking down the door. Who the hell pops out of bed and just straight up answers their door? Yeah right, anyone would be getting their gun and on the phone with 911. Police are risking people’s lives over a victimless crime. No one should be dying to enforce drug laws.

cops should be REQUIRED to have their body cams on and be serious repercussions if they don't comply. if one of their body cams were on, there would be NO dispute on whether or not the police identified themselves.

On a small side note, I would be interested to know how you return a rental car with a dude shot 7 times in it. (New York Times among others reported it like it was no biggie). If that story is true as reported then she at least knew about it no matter who killed the guy. People don’t get shot 7 times and bleed out in your rental car generally.

Her boyfriend fired first because he thought someone was breaking in. The burden is on the police. ANYONE with reasonable intelligence should have considered if we bust in unannounced, the residents will think it's a break-in. We need to avoid any instance as human possible to lead to such a conclusion or encounter.
