Sean, very articulate review. You don't miss a beat. As for the club setup, I think they are specific on club brands as many players as myself have 2 sets, so it is nice to compare the irons from one to another, so a one time setup as required is not such a big deal. I have purchased the Rapsodo mlm2pro about 4 weeks ago but still waiting for delivery. But watching your review maybe I should consider the Mevo+. Does it have the same side spin accuracy as the Rapsodo? Again excellent review

Very fair and honest review. I have the MLM2Pro and, like you, I have not experienced many of the problems some appear to have had. I can connect with my home wifi and direct to the MLM mode. The second option appears to be the most reliable.
I also have a Skytrak and I have only used that once since getting the MLM 2 weeks ago.
I agree that the fact you can only see three metrics is just strange, why can't I see them all, or at least 6, for example.
The new firmware update is coming on Monday 15th May and it is promised that this will fix the main issues.

I took your test and you suggested mevo plus, and to be fair your probably right, but for the time being I've gone with the MLM2 pro, I'm in the process of setting up a simulator In the garage so only using the mlm outdoors, if indoors it's not as good then I'll go mevo or bushnell your review was excellent and really helped me narrow down my decision thank you

I know you can only see 3 metrics at a time, but ALL are still calculated/recorded correct? Therefore, I can click any particular swing and then see the data points? Post session of course.

Thanks, this is a very accurate review. I think you nailed the type of consumer who would get the most out of the MLM Pro 2 and the reasons why. For me my ability to connect has been great with zero issues 🤞. I do get missed shots from time to time, but the majority of the time a shot will be captured. if Rapsodo can reduce this issue even more- Great 👍.
The only thing I would like to see more, is having the simulated course have elevation changes. Almost every course I have played so far is completely flat with the exception of Ridgewood CC (Waco, TX). Having the elevations as part of the simulation does make the experience is more enjoyable.
Other than that the MLM Pro 2 has been a perfect choice for me and my needs.

Started with the R10 and wasn’t overly impressed, lots of missed shots. Was pumped for the MLM2Pro and after a month of using I’m over it, it’s no better than the garmin and you have to pay for a subscription for shit software. I returned it already.

Bought a Mevo+ and use it with gspro, finally very happy with the setup. Mevo+ has blown me away and gspro is incredible.

Thanks for the review! I appreciate all the detail and thoroughness. I actually find the metrics offered by the Rapsodo MLM 2 Pro to very underwhelming, especially when compared to the Garmin R10. The only “input” metric on the MLM 2 Pro is club head speed, which is pretty basic. I will say that understanding club speed, ball speed and smash factor are super important, but it is the bare minimum for useable data by which to improve. By contrast, the Garmin R10 has those same metrics plus face angle, path and angle of attack. If you are trying to understand “why” your shots slice/hook/fade/draw/etc, the MLM 2 Pro really doesn’t offer anything. Face, path and AoA are super insightful and I wouldn’t consider any launch monitor that did not have those.

Curious to know how you think the side spin compares between the calculated Garmin R10 and the measured MLM2 with the impact camera a really important piece of evaluating a launch monitor/simulator for me is if it will capture my slices/hooks accurately.
