I don't know why, but any B & W film made in 1960 is an irresistible lure.

I remember I introduced this movie to my mom around 2002 or 2003.. she was the one who got me into horror and Sci-Fi movies back in the early 1980s when I was a little kid and she never heard of this one.. and we looked at it together..I miss those days..RIP mom

This was one real thriller! It's been a long time since I've been so invested in a movie, but this one kept me on edge right up until the end. The effects were basic, but since they were used so sparingly they don't take you out of the movie, which I appreciate. Wish movies today would take a hint and use special effects less. I had a good time watching this one, and if you're reading this before watching: go for it, it's great. It starts off a bit slow, but once it gets going, it really _goes._

This movie was like an extra long Twilight Zone episode, which is not a bad thing.

Wow what a great movie thoroughly enjoyed that you really can't beat these vintage 1950/60s noir movies far better than the modern movies with all their ridiculous totally over the top special effects... Keep them a coming!!! 👍👌

Good one. I wish some other guys had this kind of guilt for all the women they mistreated over the years. But most of them seem to get away with it, and feel great to be in office. So what's to be done. Vi was a good haunter ghost and this man had a conscious, so it's comparing apples and oranges. I like the way this man had so many people that loved him, yet he was trapped by his first bad decision. Scary movie. Hard choices, and it kept coming. Tormented is a good title. A sixties tale of wisdom like a Greek Tragedy. Thank You!

Enjoyed this very much on this rainy dreary night...has a twilight zone/Alfred Hitchcock tone to it.. thanks for posting...I've been appreciating alot of these old classics more than mainstream films, lately....more originality, solid storylines, impeccable actors and is suitable for certain days or nights, when in the mood to view them.. thanks for the post.🎥🎥📽️📽️🎬

Thanks for the post. The ring on Vi's finger is the real horror in the ending... Till death do us part... Even in death she STILL couldn't keep her hands off him.

The title alone, all the more its script style had me instantly. Just my style. Vi had that fever, that itch which only Tom could cure, scratch. It was always and forever meant to be. YOW! I give this 4 boxes of BUTTERED popcorn.

I want to thank CCC for pumping out the movies during this hard 'Stay at home' time we're having as Americans. I love the way this country is pulling together to do what they can to get through this !!!

Susan Gordon- befriended her co- star of "The Boy and the Pirates" Charles Herbert, who supported his family from the age of five and went from being one of the most-desired and highest-paid child actors of his time to one of the multitude of performers Hollywood "discarded" upon reaching maturity. She was a class act, recognizing the burden a fellow child actor had to carry and the scars of the result.

Such a kitschy film. I love the talking head on the end table. Too much. I guess the cast and director were friends and said "Hey, let's make a movie over the weekend!".

I watched this a few years ago and was impressed. Worthy of cult fandom. You see the new jazz-beatniky style arising during this period [late 1950s early 1960s] and I thought the ending was touching and fitting. Good movie.

It is about time they fixed the railing at the lighthouse.

"Why should my conscience bother me? I didn't kill her..." you didn't try to save her, either. Conscience and guilt can do powerful things. If I had a railing that flimsy I'd sue the builder.
