Great idea guys! This will be really helpful for consumers searching for true 'Green' energy retailers. As a suggestion in the next version could you include a metric which measures support for EV's as well? just a suggestion. Keep up the great work 👍🌏🌞

Thanks for doing this! The average person doesn't have the resources to do the deep dive required.
I'll take a look as powershop has whittled away a lot of what I went with them for (used to be able to pick community energy as an option to contribute to projects, now they just have 2 options for the top ups.. ) and just recently announced they are selling out to shell - who have a lot to answer for their role in fossil fuels.
Wish I didn't have gas on - because there's no way to avoid helping the fossil fuel lobby by virtue of it needing to come from methane extraction. The joys of renting and having to stick with what is already there.

Unfortunately the electricity providers don't have any idea how to produce electricity efficiently. You don't need massive wind and solar farms or batteries. If you want very cheap and truly environmentally friendly electricity it is quite easy and cheap to do. If you create a grid of closed loop hydroelectric power stations combined with rooftop wind and solar power systems you can easily produce enough electricity for any modern city. Closed loop hydroelectric power stations can be built underground or incorporated into building design saving space and placing the power production closer to the point that the power is needed eliminating most substations and transformers. Closed loop hydroelectric power stations can be built any size from powering a single light bulb to an entire city but smaller plants strategically placed throughout a city is the cheapest and most efficient way to create this system, rooftop solar and wind power can easily produce enough electricity to recharge the closed loop hydroelectric power stations. Closed loop hydroelectric power stations are both a battery and a power station that can easily control the electricity flow which is the biggest problem with wind and solar power systems. I have been working on this system for over 10 years and nothing else compares to the cost savings and matenance costs. The entire electricity grid could be converted to this system in under 2 years. Unfortunately I don't have the university degrees needed to be taken seriously but if I can get the help of a mathematician with an understanding of fluid dynamics, an electrical engineer and a structural engineer I can get them to scientifically prove my system. We have the technology to be completely fossil fuel free in under 2 years but unfortunately we don't have the willingness to do it. If all car manufacturers made electric cars with the same removable battery packs that you swap at a service station electric cars will be as convenient as petrol cars. It does come down to everyone working together and that is the biggest problem with the human race, we have a long way to go before we can call ourselves civilised.
