But what is unique about the product other than the identity politics aspect? I rarely use skin care products, but I do know that shea butter is a very common ingredient. It doesn't say much about the product if it relies on it being a black owned business to be successful, and not the merits of the product.

Even the best products won't cut it if they're not marketed well. Later I realised that we can even outsource marketing from the experts. That was a big plus in my journey.
