Never seen an unequal equity split like this. Nirav is a likeable and humble person, should be in the tank permanently!

Surprised none of the sharks asked common questions like 1) net profitability 2) who else has equity, how much etc.

Robert Herjavec surely knows when he uses too much of a product; still, I love Nirav’s comment about needing a towel at 2:20. Nirav and Robert Herjavec are both amazingly cool to see on Shark Tank.

That was the weirdest deal I have ever seen a shark make.

Every Nigerian should be laughing right now.
Shea butter is so cheap here. She smart.

But what is unique about the product other than the identity politics aspect? I rarely use skin care products, but I do know that shea butter is a very common ingredient. It doesn't say much about the product if it relies on it being a black owned business to be successful, and not the merits of the product.

Very competitive market. Lots of shea butter and argan oil products at the health food store and other stores.

After watching success stories of people in shark tank. I was thinking of starting something of my own. But there was a big hurdle that was marketing. Even the best products won't cut it if they're not marketed well. Later I realised that we can even outsource marketing from the experts. That was a big plus in my journey. I did it from Paragon Peak and it worked out really well for me.

Skin care products. Big shortage out there.

Sometimes the sharks are so two sided. One day they’ll say “I’m investing in you, not the product.” The. One day they’ll go “I don’t understand the product I’m out”. Kind of annoys me because if I was mark or Robert I woulda invested in her
