LOL - loved your beat-up wall. Not internet pretty but the lunch boxes and back packs aren't in a pile on the floor and you know where to find somthing in them at 8 pm at night instead of searching the house for where the back pack might have been dropped. It is simple and convenient and no one has to think about it. That is really how organization should work

I read the book "The One Thing" which helps. It is about focusing on doing one thing to completion instead of scattered results. Asking yourself, what is the one thing I can do that by doing it will make my life easier. For me, making sure to clean out the kitchen sink, emptying dishwasher is it.

I love how you said we cannot all the Pinterest worthy at all times. I am legally blind one eye is completely blind and the other one is legally blind. Lighting is the most important thing I can say in my house it helps me function and complete all of my house management responsibilities every day. I can't have those really cute pendant lights I need practical real daylight lights. I would love to have cute lights and lamps but I can't I need real lighting. One benefit is I can't really see Pinterest post! LOL I can see other people's houses if they're lit correctly though. The other thing is everything he has to have a home when you're legally blind when things have a home it's easier to find them. Decluttering also helps because there's less stuff to navigate in order to find what you're looking for when you don't really have the ability to look for it yourself! I lost my vision at 30 and now I'm 44 I am a full-time wife and mother and I take care of my house and cleaning and cooking and laundry every day😊

Just the other day I used your saying of you’re never gonna feel like doing it, and I was able to declutter and rearrange my kids entire room as well as washing folding and taking care of laundry on top of the daily dishes cleaning the living room. The next day I did my bathroom crazy. I burn myself out so the next day I had a day off, but I learned that I can do a lot of things if I put my mind to it.

8:15 #5 Combining dissimilar items - This is what I always tell friends and family that want to be more organised. “Keep like with like” is the easiest way to start.

When we got our first house 30+ yrs ago, I wanted to redo the entire backyard. It was a typical postage stamp, residential, 1950's house. I knew it would be a huge undertaking so I planned, sketched best I could and decided everything in steps. First we needed to clear out old, bare flower beds for new ones. No trees. My husband hated yard work, so back grass would tend to get longer than I preferred. So, first step, pull out bushes and plants. Second, we actually rototilled the entire yard. We raked it out level. Then I plotted boundaries for 3 new flower beds and installed border edging. To solve the problem of unkempt grass, we laid landscape cloth over entire interior around flower bed areas. I ordered 6 cubic yards of red mulch. We raked that out level. Then I began purchasing a mix of perennials and annuals based on light conditions of each planned flower garden. Eventually I decided I wanted a tree to shade our beautiful awning covered patio from early morning sun. We put a patio wing toward the back of the yard and an awesome birdbath in the center. There was a lot of planning on my part and a ton of work on both our parts but we got it all done in about 6 weeks, mostly on weekends. Key is, to plan, plan, and plan so you can make it a space you love and can live wth forever. We topped off the mulch every other year with about 4 cubic yds to keep it fresh, no yardwork for back there and I got my flower beds. Win, win

I’m 77 years old and you taught me a lot. Number one was don’t have piles of stuff. That helped. Also you have to re-organize it more than just once. Thank you so much.

Hi, love your content and nice you have an eye for esthetics.
Woud like to see that all mixed with some environmental awareness and tips because lets be real, it'll be our cute little children who have to live with our waste and a climate thats completely out of wack 😢.
Sweet greetings from Flanders (BE) and keep up the good work!!! ❤

Yes! I think my mother thought that once they had their house built it would never need anything, no paint, no washing, no... ha! Okay, maybe not the minute it was built... Although kind of because I'm always surprised that it has things like trim strips and curtain rods. Almost makes me want to sell it and go fix someone else's dilapidated house!

I don’t know if it’s on purpose, but you exposed whole name of your kid on an item that you show. Don’t wanna go into detail, I hope you know, which one I mean. Thank you for this very helpful video. 😊

Please tackle that bedroom and get it feeling like a sanctuary instead of a source of stress. Bedrooms MUST be peaceful places for sleep and marriage reasons and I can hear the stress in your voice when you talk about yours
