I can see both sides. Kösem wants to try and protect her children, all of her children, Osman included. But at the same time, Osman grew with the expectation of ascending the throne once his father would pass, he was raised that way. Heart breaking, once again.

I admire Berens emotions in this clip. Unfortunately she wasn't very convincing as a favourite, but after Ahmeds death her acting became top class.

I’m tired of the “ the throne is mine by right “ this is not some European monarchy 🙄say whatever you want about Selim II( show version) at least he fought along with his wife Nurbanu and of course Hurrem to get the throne he didn’t just wait to get it, sometimes I understand why Kosem did what she did her children were all weak and lazy in the end and never really appreciated what she did for them even Sultan Murad ( Nurbanu son ) thanked his mother for securing his throne the same for Sultan Mehmet (Safiye son )
