The FTC is suing John Deere for using unfair practices to restrict repairs on its farm equipment — costing American farmers $4.2 billion a year.

FTC Chair Lina Khan says the company has "illegally restricted the ability of farmers and independent technicians to repair Deere equipment" including tractors.

Apple, Amazon and major automakers use the same strategies on everything you own.

This has been an issue since at least 92 that I know of. I remember farmers in Ks, at the co op complaining about this.
