Todays video on on the second most power hero in The Boys universe... Stormfront. Stormfront is the leader of Payback, and is widely considered to be the second most powerful superhero in the world… behind Homelander. Stormfront is an obvious Homage to Thor, expect wretched in every single way… however in terms of who he is supposed to remind you of… its the god of Thunder. He is, without a doubt, one of the worst superheroes in the entire book series.

Alright... I am updating this pinned comment because I cannot take reading the same, "Stormfront was inspired by Shazam" comment over and over. Stormfront was not inspired by Shazam. Ennis has stated that everyone in Payback was directly inspired by an Avenger. ADDITIONALLY, and MOST IMPORTANTLY. There is already a Shazam in The Boys universe. In Issue one of The Boys: Dear Becky, you see Butcher and the team cut off the tongue of a 10 year old boy who was that universe's version of Shazam. That is who was inspired by Shazam within the boys unvierse. Thank you for reading this...

They may have swapped his gender, but they didn't swapped his cruelty and racism.

Season 2 is shaping up to be pretty insane.

She is really one of those “I’m not like other heroes” but then is exactly like them

To me, Stormfront looks to be based off of Shazam, rather than Thor.

I really want to see Kimiko ripping Stormfront's eye in the series

What I love about the adaptation of this character is that even if you've read the comics, even if you notice the details on her costume or the obvious name of her character, your still shocked by her in episode 3. You know something about her isn't right, but when it happens it still manages to smack you right in the face.

Stormfront is like Shazam’s evil long lost cousin

So, is no one talking about how this might affect Homelander's oedipal complex if they're keeping his genetic origins from the comic the same?

The most true line of season 2..
"A lot of people think like me, they just don't like the word nazi"

Making the liberal portland chick secretly racist is hilarious & bold writing

Evil is evil and the motivations that lead to evil do not matter (well, they matter in as far as we can use them to prevent evil). To me the characters of Stormfront and Homelander are equally bad, regardless of Stormfront's personal motivations. The victims' whose head might be crushed by either of these two is not going to be like, "It's OK if Homelander does it, 'cause he's not racist."

Amazon's The Boys version of Stormfront had a great line that paraphrased was *"People like what I have to say. They just don't like the word Nazi"*
I think it was a very intelligent and provocative take on what the comic and franchise as a whole can represent: complicated individuals who are too powerful for common ideas.

Stromfront in the show is racist AF. When she killed kimiko’s brother she said yellow basters. And in the flashback, she also was shown to be racist to blacks. This is also evidenced when she confronted A train in their church discussion

I usually hate gender swaps in tv show adaptations. Mostly because it’s done for no reason other than “diversity” and ends up ruining the character. This however I believe was a genuinely good change. It actually makes for a better character.

This is the first time where i found the show more interesting than the comics.

First they expanded on the deep. Now they drastically changed this character.

Gotta be honest... She had me in the first half, mad me think she was okay but I was soon brought back to reality.
