🌸My youngest son Dorian texted this to me this morning while I was headed to work and he to school.
Tears flow so heavy for the fact that he listened to this and knew it would benefit me to hear it as well.
He is a Senior in high school now. And I cry thinking about the growth from a baby to a toddler trying to speak the way to this day that he can comprehend the importance of tapping into motivation just to be motivated. I love you Lord for giving my son the character, humbleness, and understanding that even he can uplift his mother by sharing positive energy and words.

That man is my father and he has gone through just about every single thing that you can think of good and bad. Trust God and take a leap of faith! How many of us really have put everything on the line and trusted God? Only then you will see the signs and feel God's love for you! Our part is discipline, hard work and to never give up and He will do the rest! You will know when you've done your best when you are physically exhausted but you keep going and you are bewildered asking what gives you energy and strenght. You feel half alive and crazier than you've ever been but you just can't stop. You feel the urgency, your soul is calling you to fulfill your destiny.

In my 23 years on this earth, I always tried to strive to be the best and make the people around me happy. I always wanted the life my cousins and everyone other child had around me. My life wasn't bad but I was dealing with an abusive alcoholic dad and money hungry mother. Everyone around me had a sweet 16, a car, money in their bank, all the new and improved clothing and shoes, and graduated highschool. I didn't get the push nor motivation to become great. I knew I could. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and children with that always want to impress their families or be the best. Sometimes it feels like I failed at life. Society and life has changed dramatically as the year's went by. Felt like no one cared but me. My mind was always in the future and still is. Now I'm losing hope, struggling with unemployment and not having a place of my own etc. Feels like I won't get nowhere to support or provide for my future children. This was inspirational and god given!!!

Ive fallen to drugs, alcohol and let myself become a mess and unrecognisable. I sit and ponder most nights on how and why I’ve drifted down this road. No money saved, no close friends, no family and no self respect. Disappointment, embarrassment and everything above is all I’ve ended up with. But I’ve worked my arse for 10 plus years with hard graft and stressful moments. Ran myself down to make a future, to be left with nothing to show. To most people, I’ve failed and have nothing to be proud about. But as I sit here writing this, I’m proud of myself and inner strength for realising my journey has been going down a bumpy road. Realising your problems is the first step to turning around on the bumpy road and resuming your journey down the right path. 29 years of bumpy paths is all I know. But I’m proud and grateful that I still continue, still fighting and still holding onto the reward that’s at the end of this road. And if your reading this, be proud of yourself for the simple fact your still here and reading this. Shows you keep fighting. And who ever reads this. Sending you love ❤️

I got an amazing job today. I genuinely can't thank denzel enough man. I have listened to this easily 50 times in the last week. One of the most impacting speeches I've ever heard. At least for me personally.
