Argentina was the go to location for Nazis after WW2 including Hitler who did not die in his bunker in Berlin. The Soviets knew it, the American knew it, everyone knew it at the time but it was decided to leave him alone because the Cold War had begun and so had the Korean war. He died in around 1962 in a German colony in the mountains of Argentina.
