The East Bay Leadership Council was joined by Danielle Mieler, P.E. and Victor Flores for a presentation on the Oakland Alameda Adaptation Committee (OAAC), a coalition of shoreline communities and stakeholders working to accelerate sea level rise adaptation, protect and restore water quality, habitat, and recreation, and promote community resilience. OAAC is currently leading three funded sea level rise adaptation projects: a long-term adaptation plan, Bay Farm Island, and the Oakland Alameda Estuary Adaptation Projects. This presentation will discuss the OAAC formation and governance, the projects being address by OAAC, and the community engagement strategy being led by funded Community Partners.
