That's so crazy; I didn't use arrows at all. I stayed above him and after he shoots the ice spikes off of his back; his vulnerable shell is temporarily exposed. I used Link to dive through the exposed shell to cause massive damage. Just another method if you want to try it. The dive does not injure Link.

if you run out of arrows, you can remain above the boss and he will fire the spikes at you and reveal the weak point from above, if you are skilled you can jump slash through his vitals, job done.

I beat this boss with 5 hearts and no protection against the cold and i found out if you attach a bomb flower or a red chuchu slime to you're arrow and then shoot the ice it will instantly be destroyed instead of have the second layer of ice

😅 It would have looked more skilled if I had used the bow. But I just dove through the top while the boss was firing spikes. Also, did anybody notice you fully recover stamina when you glide near Kolgera?

You can just dive through them and not use arrows, this was one of the coolest boss fights I've had in a Zelda game

Btw use the Swallow Bow or attach wings to your arrows and its a piece of cake. Js. Hope that helps as well. 😁
