I crocheted sweaters for my friends' dogs once. It all went well until they decided to have a play fight and one of them pulled a thread on the other's sweater. Then somehow, the one wearing the sweater with the loose thread got trapped by going round and round the clothesline pole with that loose thread anchoring her in place until she couldn't move. She had to be cut free with scissors. I don't know how long she was stuck there before she was rescued. Thank god it wasn't around her neck or tightly around a paw.

Moral of the story - don't leave dogs unsupervised when they're wearing sweaters, especially knitted or crocheted ones!!
