THE STORY OF 909 FESTIVAL
Ever since day one 909 Festival has gone above and beyond to put together a well-balanced musical program. Playing a major part since the early beginnings have been three simple basics; celebrating the pioneers, inviting fresh quality artists and supporting the locals.

COOK UP YOUR 909 RHYTHM
The festival pays homage to the iconic Roland TR-909 Rhythm Composer that came to define house and techno music as we know it today. We created an online version of the TR-909 drum machine, making it available for everyone with an internet connection on both mobile and desktop.

Speedy J always on point. He doesn't need to throw his hands up to get the crowd started. No Tomorrowland De Witte trance/techno. The crowd also look like party veterans, they know whats up. Almost no phone, flag, goofy outfit in sight. Everyone appreciating the music being delivered.

He is already a pioneer, he made the beginnings of techno in Europe...!
Cult, legendary DJ... He's an icon!!
Outside of the underground scene, the WORLDWIDE recognition of his name really does not match the immense talent he has been spreading since the beginning!!! (the underground really takes on its full meaning with him)
So much the better if that's what maintains its musical integrity, I love it... 👏👏👏
