Robert Palmer recording vocals for 'Go To Zero' at Compass Point (1984)

Written by Palmer and Guy Pratt, this was ultimately recorded for the "Power Station" album one year later. In this demo, nine months before even being considered to be part of the supergroup, an untypically bearded Palmer ends the track with the line "A-dri-an Be-lew / go to zero!" instead of "Black, red, white and blue / go to zero" which became the definitive lyrics.
The following Belew guitar assault would later be replaced by Andy Taylor's heavy performance, while John Taylor meticulously recreated Guy Pratt's bassline note for note. This segment aired on March 23rd, 1984

Wow! If only it had that guitar solo by Belew intact at the end, it would be perfect! ❤

For anyone wondering, this is from The Tube (UK TV show). Leslie Ash who was a presenter is the woman in the background.

Where on earth did you find this??
This is the original version of the Robert Palmer/ Guy Pratt composition. Complete with the Adrian Belew reference at the end!
Very special!
