He's not saying Rekkles is making a mistake by joining G2, he's saying that Rekkles thinks G2 gives him the best chance to win and (from his own perspective), he thinks that Rekkles is mistaken on that point, i.e. they're hoping to prove him wrong. Notice that his following comment isn't any shade towards G2, just him saying "we plan to meet them in finals and take them down this time". Which, of course he would say that! What do you expect, him announcing their plans to go 0-3 again?

Even public figures don't express themselves with perfect clarity 100% of the time. But we should try to take their words in context and give them the benefit of the doubt rather than stir up drama everywhere we can.

I am not familiar with the details, but as far as I know Fnatic didn't sell Rekkles. Rekkles contract ended so he was free agent, and free to go wherever he wanted. I think it was the same with Caps.
Imagine losing the two best players you've ever had, to your biggest rival, and not even get paid for it. That is not a small management problem.
