Favorite FromSoft game. No power-leveling, no armor sets, no extra gimmicks… just straight skill. Constantly parrying and attacking kept me engaged throughout all the boss fights.

These videos left me speechless, the quality of writing, editing and the amount of effort put into them

I beat the sword saint today. It was truly a moment I’ll never forget, and I’ll be watching this to piece together everything. Thank you so much for making videos like this, it truly means a lot to me.

I think the Hirata Estate memory is part time travel, part reenactment of a memory.
I think a younger Sekiro saved Kuro from Lady Butterfly and was backstabbed by Owl, and saved by Kuro to get the Divine Blood at first.
Then, Sekiro as we know him would eventually end up in the Ashina well 3 years later, possibly getting amnesia of the Hirata Estate. It's implied with the petals around Sekiro in the opening that he has already been revived once.

Now all we have to do is wait for an Elden Ring one. These videos are great. Watched all of them, starting from Bloodborne, then the Souls Trilogy and now this one. Love all of them 💯👍

After you guys are finished explaining the stories of the other soulsborne games, you should try making one explaining the story of Hollow Knight. It’s easily the best Souls-like game that’s not made by FromSoftware and has a very rich story that perfectly fits what you guys discuss.

Its fascinating when the real antagonist is not the final boss, but you are still stuck cleaning up their mess for the rest of the story

Amazing video as always! I think it's funny that Sekiro's "lapse of judgement" kept him from finishing off the Guardian Ape in their first encounter, but I think it's because you're able to fight the Guardian Ape before ever going to Senpou Temple. I do think that that should've been considered on From Soft's behalf, it certainly is a bit odd if you did it the other way around and just not use it here. Just an interesting thought

I love that you don't just go through the back story of the game but also the actual gameplay bits and its not just straight to story beat to story beat and giving me whiplash

I've never seen this quality of writing in a game recap.

I was just looking for an explanation of the competing memories at Hirata, but ended up watching one of the best YouTube videos I've seen in ages.

Fantastic work, man!

This game has taken the spot of best game from final fantasy 7 for me. It's perfect, even the last battle being a culmination of everything you've learned. And this video you created is extremely cinematic and it plays out like a fantastic movie. Thank you!

This game shows me the dark reality of immortality:
Your body rots over time, yet the soul is preserved

Sekiro's lore is the best of any from soft game. A good, clear story but with extreme depth hidden in environmental storytelling, missable NPCs and dialogue. So many connections between characters that aren't obvious and so much history behind each location that needs to be found on your own and it still has room for speculation.

Wow another masterpiece of a video told to us who listen. The ending of the video almost made me cry because of it's enormous message and it really shows the power words can have. Really inspiring. The game is amazing, the story is fantastic and your video definitely brought the best parts of it all to light. Thank you for making these videos and being able to always make them so awe-inspiring. Love what you guys are doing <3

I like how the story go so smoothly when in fact i die at least 5 time before I took down any boss

I just on a whim decided to start watching the Bloodborne video you guys made and LOVED your guys' content, so I watched all three of your Dark Souls videos also, now this as well lol. Your guys' content is beyond the amount of subscribers you have, ya'll deserve SO MANY more. I can't wait to see how far both of you grow and see this channel change for the better! Expect to see me more as I plan on sticking around and watching all videos you two intent on uploading.

With much love, MissTinkering.

...also had no idea about the 3rd option for Kotaru via divine abduction. totally makes sense considering the story and the effect of divine abduction on the other monks on Mt. Kongo. this vid even answered a few other questions that have nagged at me forever about the story as well, which just reinforces how brilliant Miyazaki & FromSoft crew are at crafting such amazing literary quality lore... without question some of the best in all of gaming

This game and the journey to getting platinum on it changed how I view and approach life. Looking forward to the next two and a half hours.
