Botswana is the most beautiful country with friendly people. If you go camping in the right places you will want to go back over and over again.

43:23 - from forefront to back: Western Cattle Egret, Black Heron and two Egyptian Geese, either side of buffalo
46:28 - Grey Lourie (that you heard) (hehe - bird on helium as Marianne said). It's also called a "Go-Away" bird because the bird will call out like that if there is danger nearby for herbivores (buck/zebra etc.)) if there is a carnivore (eg. lion etc.) nearby.

We were in Kasana earlier this year, did the same Chobe river cruise, it was great, saw loads of wildlife, but very hot . Stayed in a river lodge and had the first hot shower after 10 days of bush camps, bliss! Botswana is a fantastic country, great wildlife and friendly folks.

Once again your years ago whilst in the Gambia.. we went for a guided tour through a nature reserve...the guide told us all about Charlie the croc...somewhat tame.. and very docike once he's been fed...low and behold we came across this 3+ meter croc sound asleep ....so as you do I bent down to storke him...what an guide then pointed out that Charlie was on the other side of the track ... ooppss....

Botswana has been the most magical country. That shot of the herd of elephants crossing the river at sunset, I can only imagine how much better it was in person.

Namibia is beautiful. If there is anywhere in the world I would go back to, it would be Namibia. Such a pity you could not cross into Nam, but when you do come back, do make the Skeleton Coast part of your travels.
