The 2024 Envision Festival in Uvita, Costa Rica will be kicking off March 4th - 11th. Yoga types, spiritual warriors and folks looking to find themselves and make meaningful connections will make the annual trek to Uvita for a week of transformation through workshops and even better, music. A mini Burning Man if you will. But is Envision safe? Do they have enough security to make sure party goers can do their thing without issues? What's the chances of your Airbnb being broken into? Do some unsavory locals descend on Envision with hopes of making a few cash grabs? What should you do to protect yourself?

This video came about because last year a couple Envision goers contacted me and although they had a great time at the festival, a couple bad things did happen. Their Airbnb was broken into and they also felt unsafe in the parking lot of Envision to name two. I said I would make a video and try to get the word or warning out.

Shelly hasnt commented yet, WTH. Haha. Great advice. I am alert even on my many trips down there. I wont even set my cell phone on the railing when eating or drinking when I am in a La Fortuna bar because of fear someone walking by will grab and run. Eyes open

I can only share this, when I did a sheltered Ayahuasca retreat outside Woodstock, NY. They took our keys. There was no where to walk to and people kept an eye on us. Not my "medicine" of choice. Half had a bad trip and I just prayed I would come down real fast.😢Always be safe. Thank you Micheal, as an empath I don't do crowds. I remember watching your videos before I went to Envision in 2023! I am definitely one of those people that unleashed my concerns in your comment sections after my trip haha Our AirBnb got broken into, everything gone through. We suspect the pool guy is who scoped us out. If you hear the house next to you's alarm going off, don't go into the festival that day. We thought it'd be okay. It wasn't but at least no one was hurt. Cannot say that for the parking lot. The last night my 2 female friends ran up on a girl getting assaulted at her car in the parking lot by 3 men with scared them away with their water bottles....I know, that was dangerous but at least it didn't turn out worse. That girl was beat up, they were trying to take her and her car. It was such a torn feeling coming back. The festival itself (is not like burning man, there's a full schedule) was the best I've ever attended and the rainforest and beauty of costa rica was amazing but I was so scared, still am. Still torn but more positive now. Keep your passport on your person, purchase a water back back so that you don't have to take your stuff off your person, keep your stuff close. Even within eye sight is not enough. 2 of our crew had their bags taken right in front of them in Jaco. They were at one end of their car and had a door open or something. Be aware. Still enjoy. It looks like fun, but it's definitely not safe for your wallet, whether it gets stolen or not.

Never been to Envision. No interest. It sounds like people are sitting ducks for theft and other crime.

Give us a low key local Tico bar far away from there and a couple Imperials and gallo pinto con Lizano. One credit card, copy of Passport, and a small amount of colones in a front pocket. Our perfect kind of night

Invasion is right down the Costanera from me. I have been in once. Music is good. I didn’t feel threatened or intimidated at all. Many of us that live here refer to it as “Invasion” due to the horde of rich trust fund kids coming to party. I just avoid Uvita during this period and go shop or bank in Cortes or Palmar.
