Hello okbridges!

This is probably the worst place to ask this, but I don't know if you would've seen this on your Big ben video from 7 years ago.

Anyway, I have a 1922 plain dial Big Ben alarm clock that has 2 minor issues. The first is that the slow/fast speed adjustment rod (in the back of the clock) is a little loose is there anyway to tighten this.

The second issue I have is with the alarm trigger. If I were to set the clock to go off at 2:00, it goes off at 2:00 fine, the problem is the alarm is triggered all the way up until 7:00. Meaning if i wanted to use the clock to get up at 6:00AM, I'd have to got to sleep at 11:00PM at the minimum. Anytime before then and the alarm set to go off at 6:00 will go off when I am trying to sleep!

What causes these issues, and is there any way for me to fix them?
