"Summer, in my opinion, is the happiest and the brightest season, whereas Fall is the most depressive one."
"Summer, to me, is the happiest and brightest season, while Fall is the most depressive one."
I didn't know that we need to put a comma after the words "Wile" and "Whereas"; now, however, I do and thank you for the excellent explanation!
Thanks once more!
Best regards from Ukraine!

Always a thumbs-up. You are great at explaining grammar. Not many people have got this ability. If I can put my two cents in, I'd like to highlight a couple of points (and correct me if I'm wrong).
1) The conjunction "though" is not common in formal writing; it's pretty common in informal speech THOUGH! See! I just used it! ;) Now, what kind of conjunction is it when used at the end of the sentence? Was my use of the semicolon there correct?
2) We only put a comma before "while" when it's used for contrast, right? No need for the comma when "while" is associated with time, e.g. "The doorbell rang while I was having breakfast."

Sorry, I always write long comments. There's so much to discuss in your videos! Thanks Jenna!

Hey mam I'm sorry that I'm texting you again but the questions I asked I wasn't replied for that but no worries cuz of tough schedule people they don't have enough time ...
Please Check it if you get time for that

Question 1

😀: Sir are these fine in meaning
1. Is /am/are /was/were About to
Uses
These all about to are used to show the more resent future, action or situation are going to happen with in a very little moments .

2. Is /am/are/was/were +to
Uses
It's also used in the same way what is am are was were about to used but here time will be little more, more then about to

3.is /am/are going to (gonna)
Uses
It is used just the same way where we use verb "will"
I'm going to do it or I'll do it
🤭Both have same meaning .

4. Was were going to
When we use was / were going to in two clause it gives us the same meaning what would gives . like
I thought I would do it .
Or
I thought I was going to do it .
I thought I would be doing it .
I thought I was going to be doing it .
All are same each other

😐But when it is single sentence like
I was going to do it .
So it means in past subject plan to do it but could not do it or didn't do it for some reasons .
I was going to do it .
( I made a plan but I didn't do it ).

5. Have to
We use it when something itl our job what we have to do it .
We can also use it in showing some habitual situation like
I have to there when ever she calls .(habitual)
I have to do it ( non habitual thing which is required to be done )

6. Had to
We use it when something it was our job what we had to do it .
We can also use it in showing some habitual situation like
I had to there when ever she used to call .(habitual past )
I had to do it ( non habitual thing which was required to be done )

I have to do it
I don't have to do it
Do I have to do it
Do I not have to do it
Why do I have the do it
Why do I not have to do it

Had to

I had to do it
I didn't have to do it
Did I have to do it
Did I not have to do it
Why did I have the do it
Why did I not have to do it

😀: 7.Must
We use must when things are really required, too necessary and essential to be done .

I must do it (the thing what I am about to do it necessary and must to be done )

8. Have got to +v1
Same use like have to ...
I have got to do it
I haven't got to do it
Have I got to do it
Have I not got to do it
Why have I got to do it
Why have I not got to do it

We don't say I had got to do it in past but we use "had to" in past .

9. Supposed to
Same use as like verb have to with the same meaning we use when some thing is required to be done .same thing with past too . like had to .

10.should
We use when thing is required to be done but with the less strong felling of modal "must " must and should have same meaning but should has less strong meaning.

😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Question 2

I thought you are there.✖
I thought you were there .✔

I said u are doing it .✖
I said u were doing it✅

I believed u are fine .✖
I believed u were fine .✅

I have said u she is sleeping. ✖
I've said u she was sleeping.✅

I thought he might be doing .✖
I thought he would be doing.✅

I thought they might do it .✖
I thought they would do it.✅

I thought it must be there .✖
I thought it must have been there .✅
I thought gate is closed .✖
I thought gate was closed .✅
I have thought she has done it .✅
I've thought she did it ✖

😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Question 3

Yep mam few points might look familiar and few not but please look out all points about what I wanna say to u ....🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
#1☺
After being corrected now with a new and improved texts, the points what I know after learning passive voice, do u fell that my all passive points are fine, last time you corrected me and now I'm with new, I hope you are good and will check it 🙏🙏🙏

Are my all points are perfect while making passive sentences? Mam some points are you might have heard ..please check those 🙇🙇

#1☺.when we don't know who did the action in active sentence, when the doer is unknown
It is suggested .
Electric bills are sent every month .( who sent the bill, we don't know )
King was killed in war a long time ago.( who killed the king, I don't know do u know, don't think so)

#2.☺☺ When the subject of active sentence isn't important to be told to other .
My room was being painted .( who is doing it by painter do we have to say its not important )
Work is done every week .( is it important to say who does it nope )
I was taken /selected in cricket team .

#3 ☺☺☺when subject is obvious .
Jason was being taught ( by whom its obvious by a teacher )
Cory was arrested ( by whom of course by police)

#4.☺☺☺☺ Passive voice is used for showing polite behavior
Like
1.
😊 bill you have to do this work .
😯 okay sir .
2.
😊 bill this work has to be done .
😯yes sir right .
( here in second it didn't seem like an order but it seemed like advice in polite way which can be used not for being direct to other )

#5 ☺☺☺☺☺. in passive voice as we know subject of the sentence doesn't do the action it depends of someone to get done .

Like
I'm selected in team before every match .
I get selected in team before every match .
( " I " is the subject I don't do any thing do select me by my self not at all so here I depend on some one to get selected.)
Car was fixed .
Car got fixed .
( can is the subject but it doesn't do any action, it depends on someone to get fixed, its not doing any action .)

Note 👉 mam my sir says, not only with these sentences but while making with every passive sentence it is
1st think that whether person or think depends on someone or something to be done or to get done, like you saw in my last few examples where subjects didn't do the action, someone else did it that why I said the those subjects were dependable in something cuz as we know in passive voice sub doesn't do the action .
(Please do let me know that do u agree with my point is my teacher right, mam )

#6☺☺☺☺☺☺. As my teacher you said that we can use "get" instead of "to be+v3 meaning stays the same.
a. But get is big in formal .
b. Can be used with stative verbs .
For example
I need to be selected .
I need to get selected .
I don't have to be sent .
I don't have to get sent .
I'm going to be given this.
I'm going to get given this .
Being selected can make our self happy .
Getting selected can make our self happy .
I am caught while doing it .
I'm get caught while doing it .
Im being caught .
I'm getting caught.
I have been judged.
I have gotten judged.
I was given a gift .

It used to be suggested.

I was being sent .
I was getting sent .
I will be selected
I will get selected .
I will have been given, when I complete it .
I will have gotten given, when I complete it .
#7☺☺☺☺☺☺☺

😊😊 😯We can also use do does and did before get, for showing strong felling about an action like how it is used often .
I do get selected there
She does get paid always .
They do get compromised .
I did get paid .
It did get broken .
She did get fired .
They did get helped.

#8☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺
Mam not be only in passive but also in active we use do does and did
Like
I do go there .
She does check it .
They did call her last night .
It did get sold .
I did have to be told .
They do get told about this situation .
I do have to be seen there .
All these do does and did are used to show the strong felling about the subject does to object .
Do does and did show the strong felling..
If I'm right in all points
Just text all 8 points are fine and correct and good to be used .

I have edited it
Thanks for reading, no one else would not read it like you do that makes u special .

Hi, Thank you for the lesson. Could you please explain the rule that the word 'as' is used as an adverb conjunction to show agreement with inversion with an independent clause? Why does the comma come after the independent clause? Is that an exception? For example, He came to the party, as did she.
Thank you again.

Hello madam!
I am interested in English video especially the complcx sentences.
When you treated contrasting words and phrases you failed to include "however"
Please can you give reason why?

Thank you.

Could you please tell me the difference in nuance between “because “and “since “? Can I use “since “instead of “because “ in the example that I wrote?

Hi, Jenna! Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed the Holiday Season with family and that 2022 is off to a wonderful start! I just wanted you to know that I liked your video and explanation so much! On a side note (and if it's not much too much to ask), I was just wondering if you could kindly explain to me the meaning of the expression 'to break something out of the amber.' The whole sentence in which this expression was used is, "We need to break justice out of the amber." I tried to Google it, but to no avail. Any input on this would be gratefully appreciated. Many thanks, and I hope you have a great day and week! Best wishes! :)
