I have very acne prone skin, and when I first started dating my boyfriend I was very insecure about it. I always wore a full face of makeup when we went out because I didn't want him to notice my skin.

 Well a few months into us dating, I was running late one night and I didn't have time to do my makeup before he picked me up. I ended up getting into his car bare skinned, wearing a lumpy wool sweater, and feeling super insecure about my looks. Almost immediately, he looked at me intently and said "I don't know what it is, but you look extra beautiful tonight." 👁️👄👁️

I was in shock. I explained that I wasn't wearing makeup, and asked if he really didn't know that that's what was different. He swore he didn't. I got a little teary eyed, and explained how I'd been feeling and how much that meant for me to hear. 

Two and a half years later, and he's still making me feel beautiful in my own skin. It hasn't fixed my insecurities, and I still have bad days, but I really can't say how special it is to have someone love and admire me even when I feel like I'm at my worst. ❤️
