To paraphrase the Eagles, it looks like there is "a new kid in town" in town. Since Monster Mike Welch, Jonny Lang, Nawfel and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, the first guitar heroes no longer impress many people, but this rascal exceeds the limits of that category. Boston-born Tyler Morris started playing guitar at the age of ten. Influenced by his father, he started playing in blues clubs a year later. At just 21, Tyler Morris already has four albums in his ten-year career! For his second release on Vizztone, 'Living in the Shadows' he lines up the guests as in the parade, from Ronnie Earl and Mike Zito (who produces the whole thing) to Joe Louis Walker and Amanda Fish. Morris started early on building a life in the blues, making his debut at the invitation of BB King's Blues Club music director Gary King, who was just 11 years old. Since then, he has become an excellent player, songwriter and live performer and has played with notable musicians, including Sammy Hagar, Steve Vai, Walter Trout, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, Ronnie Earl, Yngwie Malmsteen, Leslie West, Robben Ford, Ronnie Montrose and more. Morris is also an electrical engineer and designed audio effects for artists such as Joe Bonamassa, Conan O'Brien, Brad Whitford (Aerosmith), Elliot Easton (The cars), Brian May (Queen) and Warren Haynes. He is an emerging Renaissance man who seems to have a magical touch with everything he does ... 'Living in the Shadows' was produced by Mike Zito (Southern Brotherhood, Mike Zito Band), at his Marz Studio in Nederland, Texas , he features members of The Mike Zito Band; including bassist Terry Dry, drummer Matthew Johnson and keyboardist Lewis Stephens. Zito says: “Tyler Morris is a very serious competitor in the new world domain for blues rock guitarists. He's excited and fierce for a young man. His depth of musical knowledge is limitless and he is just getting into his own voice. Tyler will help bring electric guitar glory back to the masses. "On the track" Young Man's Blues ", he joined Ronnie Earl, four-time Blues Music Award winning guitarist. An interesting song that evokes Robert Johnson, Albert King and Eric Clapton. Every song on the 'Living in the Shadows' album here is worth it, but deep cuts like “Young Man's Blues” by Mose Allison are extra special. Tyler Morris is someone that guitar fans need to show on screen, because he has his whole career ahead of him. This is the first time in his discography that Tyler Morris has provided most of the main vocals, but that doesn’t prove to be his strong point, his reach still seems to depend on his little pubescent physique. unbridled heavyweights and the necessary conciseness, this boy now seems to be in the moment of choice. At just 21 years old, he shows the maturity and humor of a veteran road dog and has the potential to become a talent from another world . Expect to hear his name a lot in the next decade. Although he's only 21, Morris has already turned into a mature artist. This is a career-defining album. It will have a big impact on the future of the blues. Spin 'Living in the Shadows' a few times and you will know that this is true.
