Ah man I miss 2013. I used to exclusively play Minecraft 1.4.5 still until 2022 when I switched to Minetest, so now I’m using this video to recreate a village myself in Minetest.

Thanks for the tutorial, i was in my early teenage years when Minecraft rolled out back in 2011 ish.
Still i'm very fond of the old village design and how simplistic the designs were, gravel road, black wool with torches etc hahaha.
Now at the ripe young age of 28 winters i'm building the old village at bedrock level.

My village didn't spawn a church naturally and it was always one of my favorites.

While I was building this myself, I found an inconsistent detail. There should be another the blocks of cobblestone to encase the ladder, making the elevation in the ceiling on the first floor a 3x3. I looked at a naturally spawned building to figure this out.
Sometimes we miss things, happens to the best of us.

I made the one with the Stone Slabs; It gives the stairs a different look on the inside since there are no stone stairs (a unique look). Very nice :)
