DIY DIP POWDER NAIL MANICURE | STEP BY STEP | EASY AT HOME

Hello! Today's video is a DIY Dip Powder Manicure that you can do at home! I tried to film this step by step and should be easy to follow for beginners. This kit was ~$35 which was really cheap for dip powder nails, and these are durable and strong! I highly recommend this if you don't want a lot of damage to your nails but still want the color to last for 2-3 weeks without a chip.

Additional tips:
Don't swirl your nail around in the powder!
If your nail is too long, pour the powder in a narrower container, or dip is 45 degrees upside down.
Prep your nail bed well to prevent lifting - I use rubbing alcohol to get all the natural oils off my nails.
Wipe excess liquid off the bottles before capping them as they can cure and make it hard to twist off next time.

How long do you let the top coat dry? Do you have to wipe off a tacky layer after?

I actually own this kit and she skipped a step totally. She was supposed to use the activator right after the 3rd coat, buff nails then use activator again.

It seems like it'd take a long time to do, rather than just painting all of your nails, but it's different!

Interesting, most kits have you smooth and file after you put activator on as that’s what usually hardens the acrylic? I’m surprised that yours is hard enough to file down without it? But I saw that it was. I have a kiara sky kit, may try and see if it hardens before I put activator on. I also found the first time I used I didn’t brush off enough powder. Also I started to do the application a little differently after playing around a few times trying to get the coats of acrylic thinner near my cuticles so it grows out more naturally and then I can just do a fill in instead of having to fully remove which I’m finding is easier and better for my nails. So I apply first coat aprox 1/2 way up nail then 3/4 then abt a hairline away from cuticle. That way the acrylic tapers to my cuticles. This dip powder is definitely something that we get better at w/practice. Great video! Thanks!!!

I paid $35 for this set. The base coat is thick like glue and unusable. Quite disappointed.
