Nobody really explains the reasons why Xperia phones, such as the Xperia 1 II and upcoming Xperia 1 III (and so many Sony products in general) are TRULY worth buying. For me it's their quality, the ethical standards of Sony, the design and the emotional response they create. In this video I explain why I think anyone looking for a new flagship smartphone should at least seriously consider the Xperia 1 III. I'd love to know what you think of my 4 reasons that nobody is talking about - please let me know in the comments section below!

Do you agree with my 4 reasons? And what are YOUR reasons for choosing Xperia phones?

I love Japanese products. Its not a symbol of status. Its a symbol of discipline.

I am so sure about it because we make a SIM card for Japaneese market and the quality requirements for that product is off the chart. They want highest quality and with highest precision. They visited our factory and they literally check the staff accommodation for checking living standards. They checked the air quality of our production environment. They even checked the light conditions of our machine area.

It shows how well quality they expect to deliver to there customers. Thats one major thing i love about them.

Ethics is NEVER talked about enough. It needs to be brought up more.

I absolutely agree when you said that Sony is made product for a long term using, I use Xperia Z for 5 years and Xperia XZ Premium for 3 years now, and never experience any major issues.
Sony doesn't go around copying anyone. It's absolutely right!
They also put hardware and software that work balance and make the phone last longer.
Other brand may boast with hundreds megapixel, 12MB RAM, 5000 mAh battery with ultrafast charging, but Sony could create a better product without putting those gigantic specifications.

I 100% agree, ethics is such an important topic that needs to be talked about more.

My wife has had 2 Xperia phones and loved them. I was in the market for a new phone and last night I ordered an Xperia 1 III for myself. Looking forward to it. Doesn't mean I'll stop watching review videos, though. :)

I'd also like to point out that the Xperia 1 II is made in Japan. Made in Japan should be a bigger selling point, especially for more affluent customers who can buy flagship smartphones on release. My Xperia is on its way, and I can't wait. I bought this phone for all the reasons you've mentioned in your videos, "premium " is more than shiny gimmicks, ethics are key. Thank you for speaking out against inhumane practices in the industry.

You don't buy an Xperia device to prove a point. You know just how good it is.
Totally agree mate. 💯💯

Hi, Tom. Thanks for this great lecture. Actually all you said is simply Japanese culture and tradition: work ethics, quality, responsibility, reliability, uniqueness, humility, gratitude - very respectable.
By the way, all my stuff are Japanese. My phone is Sony. My laptop is Fujitsu. My car is Nissan. My tennis racquet is Yonex, and I love them all. Cheers!

Great channel 👍 I'm also Xperia 1ii owner, just shame they don't released those phones in my country. I had to import it. I really hope they will succeed with their xperia 1iii, so they can continue produce us the best smartphones ever.

This is the content this channel will thrive from. It's not following the crowd, it's adds a peripheral perspective on the company which is unknown but adds depth to the reasons why this is a company worth giving patronage to.

Absolutely have my applauds. Well done on a very well executed video 👏👏

This is how content creators should be making content; mature, responsible talking sense not like a spoiled rich kid like most big content creators are.

Couldn't agree more with you! But do not forget that Xperia feels more classy and elegant than any other phone. It isn't bling-bling, it's just pure elegance and I love it!!!

Years ago, I attended a conference for the university I was based at and a few Sony employees were there, not management employees either and they got talking about their lives at the company and how much better it is in comparison to other organizations they worked at. Made me feel a lot better considering I had a few Sony tvs at home and a Sony Ericsson in my pocket.

I had a Xperia Z3v for the longest time. I've since gone through multiple devices, from HTC, Google, LG, Samsung, and OnePlus. Now I'm going back to Sony with the 1 III since they're the only company that makes flagships with nearly all the same nice-to-haves that the Z3v had that newer phones are abandoning, mainly 3.5mm port, expandable memory, and a hardware fingerprint scanner.

Thanks for giving voice to the Sony contribution to the smartphone marketplace. So many of the youtube "influencer" community seem to be pushing, consciously or not, towards an Apple-Samsung hegemony. Sony deserves credit for pursuing their own path, and as a camera buff I definitely want them in the marketplace. As far as ethical concerns, sadly even Google has a labor scandal. Google managed to abuse female employees on an organized scale right here in the USA. Corporate ethics is important.
