For our full review of this antenna for mobile hotspots:

We test a lot of mobile internet gear to find what works best. In this video, we share our review of the Netgear MIMO antenna, which suction cup mounts to an interior window and directly plugs into a mobile hotspot device like a Jetpack or MiFi.

This is a directional antenna with a 40" long cable and TS-9 Adapter - making it very efficient.

In our testing, this can often perform roof mounted antennas and cellular boosters.

For just $27.49, we highly recommend having this antenna as part of your arsenal if you carry MiFis, Jetpacks or other mobile hotspot gear.

I bought this antenna last year for a trip to Europe and Nepal and it worked great. I'm really happy with the purchase.

Just started using this on my Netgear Nighthawk three days ago. The detected signal strength on my Nighthawk remained the same, 2 of 5 bars which is typical and why be bought this antenna in the first place, but there is a noticeable increase in bandwidth. Page load times are at least slightly (~20%) faster. Streaming video is more consistent/stable and tends to play at a higher resolution than it did just last week. We didn't go from the equivalent of dial-up to T1, but we did go from marginal to very acceptable. You are very correct about this being a Bi-Directional vs. Omni-Directional antenna. Placement is key, as you say. In my experience, it was well worth the $27.50 we paid for it on Amazon.

Spoke with a Mobley user yesterday. Apparently the Mobley has an external antenna port. Only thing is, the housing needs a small hole drilled into it to be able to plug in.

Awesome video! This helped me setup my mobile hotspot so we can post our YouTube videos and blog content from a remote location in Brazil.

FYI: after being out of stock for months, Amazon is now showing they will be stocking the Netgear Mimo antenna again as of March 12, 2019. looks like it is selling for $28

Finally got mine and I only get less than half of the speeds you showed which is only a couple mb/s higher than not even using it. At least my ping and jitter have improved quite a bit. Thanks for the video!

Hello! Thanks for all the great ressources!!! I have the new Nighthawk 5G... Just noticed that Netgear introduced a new antenna similar to this one but dedicated to 5G. Unfortunately its not available in North-America... You think this antenna you are presenting will be compatible with the new Nighthawk 5G?? Keep up the awesome job!!!!

I have a nighthawk M1 and am loving it. I am curious if this antenna will help with picking up a WiFi signal that I can use with the data offloading feature to save on cellular data

I have a Verizon "Ellipsis JetPack MHS815L". It has (I think) two "undocumented" antenna ports - which are called test points. These units should be pretty common as Verizon seems to have great coverage. Any info about this unit and the Netgear MIMO?

Netgear says they have no idea when these will be back in stock. Amazon has some in the 90 to 190 range when you factor in shipping. What else do you recommend for the 8800L from Verizon? Thanks

Hmmm wonder if a ts9 extension cable is available, then I could open window and put it up on the roof of rv for even better reception.

I just found this video and was about to order this antenna and the Netgear LB1120 LTE modem but, the antenna is no longer available at Amazon or several other retailers. We need a good alternate or maybe there is a newer version of it?

I just ordered it from Amazon yesterday so looks like it’s back. I have Verizon plan with unlimited data on our iPhones. We have not purchased a jet pack yet. Wondering if I can connect this to my iPhone and use the phone as the hotspot.

Why does an AT&T tower (close to me) only have 12m down on data? I am getting 6m down about 5-6 miles away so I took my Netgear MR1100 modem and laptop about 1/2 mile from the tower and only get 12 down there. My T Mobile gets 25-40 about the same distance away and well over 50 up close.

thanks for the video. I have one of these and have a MOFI 4500. Do you know if there is an adapter I can use to connect this TS9 to the SMA antenna ports on the MOFI 4500? Thanks!
