Maybe 'no water or food' while filibustering!

Does anyone honestly think that Mitch McConnell would not hesitate to get rid of it if he had the chance and desire. We saw how two-faced they all were with the Supreme Court pick

I hope this woman gets her own prime time spot one day. She is always working so hard and we need to hear black women’s voices now more than ever 🙌🏾

As someone living in Georgia I can’t wait to vote out these people that passed this ridiculous law. I can walk across the street and vote any day of the week. Can’t stop our votes

"Two political scientists, Sarah Binder and Steven Smith, identified every bill between 1917 and 1994 that they believe failed purely because of the filibuster. Among these, half were civil rights bills, including anti-lynching bills proposed in 1922 and 1935."

Abby Phillip has grown into such an important voice on CNN and in journalism, generally. Much deserved success.

If it serves Mitch's political ambitions, he will say on camera that "Elaine Ch. is not my wife. Not at all". So Shameless!

BRILLIANT! I appreciate Abbey Phillip's journalism. She hits it on the head. She speaks truth to power but so that anyone can relate. And she does her research. We want to see, hear and learn so much more from Abbey Phillip. Bravo CNN.

The filibuster is not in the constitution. And the founders were explicitly against it. James Madison the father of the constitution specifically said that both houses should require a simple majority to pass legislation in the federalist papers

"This has nothing to do with race" should just become the official slogan of the GOP

In Canada, voting is organized on a national basis, and we never have to wait more than twenty minutes to vote. Everyone should be registered to vote; a national program to register voters is the first step. The next step is to ensure...as has been done in Georgia...that officials are trained and on-the-job, so that voting is so well organized that long lines of voters rarely arise. It can be done. Make it a crime to badly organize voting!

Even some 3rd world countries with political dictators don't go to these lengths lengths to pass ridiculous legislations.

Let’s be honest people hate the fillbuster when their party is in the majority but love it when there party is in the minority.
