This reminds me of my hard headed stubborn Pop's when I was 16 years old. We were fishing under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco back in mid 1960's. The swells were 16 to 18 feet high. I'm yelling at my dad, let's go back to the dock, when a huge swell comes and then a loud

we slammed against the south end tower that holds the bridge up.
I'm yelling at the top of my lungs to my dad and my uncle who were out fishing at the stern of the 18 foot Chris Craft cabin cruiser, "we cracked the hull" "we cracked the hull", let's go back. My dad yells back and say's "we are not going back this is a good fishing spot and I'm not leaving",
But " POP'S ' WE CRACKED THE HULL", "let's get the Hell outta here". We stayed another half an hour under the bridge next to tower.
They caught like 32 Sea Bass, each weighing in around 20 to 35 pounds. I laugh about it now, but then at 16
I grew some cohones that day !
