A Symphony Of Steam - The Greatest Sounding Steam Locomotives In The UK !

In this video we take a look and listen to my best acoustical recordings which have been captured on video with the uninterrupted pure sound of steam engines at work. Every scene has been chosen carefully to showcase the sight and most importantly the 'Sound' of your favorite British locomotives, though three of our American guests feature at one point. This video is for the hardcore steam enthusiast or any lover of steam power and there are a few long intros in some of the scenes, this is so you can appreciate the sound of an incoming locomotive. In this video, you'll find no wind, no talking and no unwanted interference, just the pure acoustical bliss of steam locomotion with the added sounds of chirping birds. It's recommended to watch and listen via headphones or surround sound if these options are available to you. I hope you enjoy the compilation.

Few things stir my soul like the sight and sound of a hard-working steam locomotive. British steam is so elegant and classy. American railroads have nearly abandoned running steam anymore. Thank goodness, the British still revere their heritage where one can still see, hear, smell and ride behind steam.

I started watching this with my young granddaughter who’d never seen nor heard a steam train in her life. She now only want to watch videos of steam trains, as do I and we’ve arranged a future trip on the Flying Scotsman. It almost brings a tear to my eye when I see and hear these beautiful machines, from the steam pistons chatting and the sound of the whistle.
When they blow their whistle... they are simply saying: "Hey I'm Alive" and they all have their own characters and personality.

This is wonderful. My grandfather lived somewhere in the West Midlands, I don't know what borough. He was a brakeman, I think. He loved it. My grandmother

And some nostalgia for me. Having never been across the pond, 4472 came to me in 1970. I had the opportunity to take a short, few hundred yards, footplate ride on the Flying Scotsman. It was five dollars for only a few minutes, but wow, a memory I will not forget.
