Deep Space exploration, including spacecraft transit time, will magnify the complexities surrounding food and eating. This Webcast will explore the history of the human species and food, physical, psychological, philosophical, and social aspects, Mars analog experiences and the hard problems of “producing” a diversity of food in space.
The guest panel for Episode #12 of Humanity in Deep Space includes Dr. Julian Baggini, a philosopher, co-author, and editor of over 20 books, from the United Kingdom, Bob Perry, Chef and Co-Founder International Society of Neurogastronomy from the University of Kentucky, Shahareen Reza, CEO Astreas, serial entrepreneur from Mountain View, California, Philip Ruskin, International Food, & Beverage Business Consultant from Paris, France, Dr. Gary Stutte, Space Biologist with numerous research projects aboard ISS from Exploration Park, Florida, and Tiffany Vora, Vice-Chair Medicine
and Biology at Singularity University in Palo Alto, California.
