I'm a kiwi that grew up in Neesoon in the 80s and would eat at the makan stalls at Chongpang. We would order 100 sticks each then go back for more! Satay I'd my favorite food still and got the secret recipe from Nur Satay in Ulu Klang/Naan corner back in 2003. I remember getting a local Ampang Satay stall to set up at my brother's 21st birthday and he cooked 1000 sticks for us. We also ordered 1000 sticks between 3 of us in Ampang one night over a couple of beers.. great memories!
