For those who don’t know stand in rehearsals are to check for lighting visual and other effects and to see what are the best angles for recording and finding the best way to show the act

Nice they used the audio from the performance in Irelands national final. So this is a rehearsal that had actors for the country Georgia that performed Irelands song as the winning song. Good choice if you ask me! I love that song!

I thought that these were done to finalize the camera work, but apparently not cause this isnt anything like how the cameras were at the performances

I never understood the purpose of these stand in rehearsals, like... What are they for? Are these people supposed to be their alternates in case the main artist can't perform or something like that? Im asking because even though it's not the case here, i've seen some stand in rehearsals where the actors actually do sing live as well
