Sesh True Wireless Earbuds | Using Only One Earbud | Skullcandy

Sometimes you want to be able to hear your music and still know what's going on around you. When you want to do that, you can just use one earbud. We call this Mono Mode. For Skullcandy Sesh True Wireless Earbuds, the left earbud alone can be used in Mono Mode, because it is the primary earbud.

To use Mono Mode:
Step #1: Remove Skullcandy Sesh True Wireless Earbuds from the case and make sure they're paired to your device.
Step #2: Place the right earbud back into the charging case.
Step #3: The left bud will remain paired & you will retain all of the left earbud functionality.

Remember that when using Mono Mode, you will lose right earbud functionality, such as turning up volume and tracking forward.

To go back to listening to both buds, put the left earbud back into the charging case, closing the lid, & your good to start listening through both earbuds again.

Wish I knew this before I purchased 🤦🏽‍♂️

So you can only use the left one that’s so inconvenient wish I knew that before I bought them as I had a non brand name pair of wireless that let me use the left or right independently I most definitely wouldn’t recommend these they sound decent but that one feature is so annoying when the left side dies

Well wouldn't have bought the damn things if I knew only one side could be used on it's own. The $10 wireless earbuds I got from target can at least both be used on their own. Nice hustle skullcandy.

Finally. Thank you Skullcandy. I am deaf from my right ear and have patiently waiting for a company to make a ear bud that was both Mono capable AND primary left ear bud. THANK YOU.

Can we change the primary bud? From left to right?

A few kind of helpful things.1. If you flip an earbud upside down it will fit in the other ear almost as well. 2.if your having trouble getting an earbud to charge temporarily remove the rubber bud before putting it in the case. 3. You don't have to put them both back in the case you can simply turn on the right earbud hold the button and click once for it to connect. However sometimes it has trouble with this.

TLDR: These ear buds are junk just DO NOT BUY!!!

Yep this is a feature fail to only allow left to be mono. I snowboard all day and I want one ear open to hear other people on the hill. I am now limited to like 3 hours. I also wear mine during MTT in poker that can be 5-6 hours and I want one out to hear the action. I'll be returning mine. Skull Candy is a joke with headphones. This is a second pair of headphones I have had to return because of crappy design. Never again!

EDIT: So just to add to the crappyness engineering of this device I was snowboarding yesterday and had only the left earphone in because I wanted to hear my surroundings and left is all I can use After an hour my ear started to hut from my hat pressing the earphone into my ear and i cant put just the right in (thanks again Skull candy) so I put it back in the case which normally turns it off. 3 hours later I went to put it back in and it was dead.. Seems that because it was cold out the case battery was dead (this is normal in the cold) and when the case battery is dead it wont charger the ear phone and because the ear phone is not charging it remains on!! So if the battery in the case is dead the normal action of throwing your ear bud in the case does not turn the earphone off! So both my headphones were dead because the case battery was dead. Another engineering fail by skull candy.

Another issue is Because all communication happens from your device to the left head phone this means that all communication form to the right headphone comes from the left using some proprietary connection technology I am guessing. My right headphone kept cutting in and out for about 1 hour when I was using them. I don't know why if it was my helmet on blocking the signal form left to right but it was annoying as hell.

Double edit: When your case runs out of battery and you put your buds in and they run out of battery because there is no charge in the case or logic to turn them off so you plug your case in and once it's fully charged you pull out your ear bud to go snowboarding the next day and the buds are still dead. It seems again the brilliant engineers at Skull Candy didn't think hey if both case and buds are dead we should charge first the earbuds then the case or even both at same time... nahh let's make the user take the ear buds out and put them back in again for them to charge!

I would love to hear from Skull Candy on these issues for paying customers. And most likey they won't even respond and this is why I am never ever buying their product again. Even if I get free stuff it's not worth it! Skull Candy just makes horrible products!

Why can i only hear out of the left bud during calls even though both buds are in and working when i listen to music

So is monomode standard for phone calls? Because the manual didn't say it was. And I'd rather not use mono while sitting at home

I use my right ear bud only. All you have to do is take the left one out as well. If you are worried about losing it just slot it in the right side of the case so it doesn't turn off. Seems like an easy fix but I don't know if the right bud has a functional mic so this may only work for listening purposes.
