One last note, if this cards EVER comes in with a 75K or greater sign up bonus...get it. High signup bonus trumps most of the loss in benefits all day.

A couple months ago I was in a rental car and I backed into a pole to avoid another car. That car took off. Rental car company sought $1900 to fix the damage. I turned the claim over to Chase and they took care of it, no questions asked. Thank you CSR!

I’m still sticking with Sapphire Reserve because of one key difference left out of this comparison video: travel insurance. The Sapphire Reserve offers $10k per person vs Venture X’s puny $2k in the event of a trip cancellation for a covered reason. Also, you get $100k in an emergency evacuation for medical needs or transportation. I’m not even sure if Venture X offers anything for that. So if you’re looking for the best card for travel, I would still recommend Chase Sapphire Reserve over Venture X. The difference in premium is negligible when you factor in all of the insurance benefits.

Being in active duty military, i have 2 chase sapphire reserves. 1 is from application and the other one was product change (freedom unlimited to Chase sapphire). Its a no brainer while being in as the annual fees are waived. Free $600 travel credit!

My primary travel card is C1VX and CSP is secondary. For someone traveling 2-4 times a year, it works out fine. Priority pass restaurant perk is not a big deal for me.
In about 2-3 years I will evaluate the situation and if CSR makes sense I will probably get it then. I am not much fan of AMEX coupon system.

Can you do a video breaking down the hotel rewards programs please? Hilton, Marriott, IHG programs specifically. Thank you!

As someone who lives/flies out of Boston I absolutely love the CSR. Do I wish it had some better perks for the $550 I pay yearly? Of course. But for me personally, losing the restaurant/market aspect of Priority Pass makes ZERO difference as I was never using Priority Pass to visit those places anyways.

The perks the card has is something we can't quickly forget about. This is still a great card. I will not be getting rid of it.

Keeping my Chase Reserve card...the other benefits far outweigh the restaurant credit. I don't own a car but I rent one nearly every month in my home town to run errands, go shopping, deliver orders from my business, etc...and the car rental insurance waiver alone saves me $50+ ($600/yr) not to mention they covered a cracked windshield damage claim that would have cost me another $100. Also the $300 annual travel credit applies to my local bus/train transit pass so even if I don't travel, I still get several months free.

These are extremely useful rules for anyone looking to grow rich. Unfortunately, the majority of individuals that see this video will be unable to implement the ideas. We may not like to acknowledge it, but as Warren Buffett famously stated, investing is like any other profession: it takes a certain amount of knowledge. It's no surprise that some people are losing a lot of money during the bear market, while others are profiting by hundreds of thousands. I'm just not sure how they do it. I now have around $570k to invest in the market.

Csr saved me with hospital expenses while I was in vacation in Asia covered the entire hospital expense. Had to get a plate on my leg after an accident.

One benefit to consider is the Trip Delay. A lot of other cards offer trip delay benefit, but they require that you pay the entire flight on that card. For the Reserve, you are covered by the Trip delay protection as long as you pay any part of the flight with it. For example, even if you pay $1, you will get the Travel delay protection from the card. I was able to use this benefit recently.

Got the venture X card because of your videos was considering getting the Chase card as well, but now I may not. The one bonus of the Chase card is transferring points to Hyatt.

Often overlooked - the CSR, AMEX Platinum, and maybe the United Infinite card (not totally sure about that one) are the only cards I know of that have emergency evacuation/medical insurance coverage.

That can be a huge benefit to someone who travels a lot and is looking for an alternative to annual travel insurance.

My understanding is the main difference between the coverages between the AMEX and CSR Is that the CSR will cover you as long as you paid for some part of your travel with your card. For the AMEX, you have to pay for everything with the card for the trip to be considered covered.

I spent about $500 on annual travel insurance last year. The coverage limits are better with the separate policy, but I may consider dropping it this year as long as I use my CSR.

After having a bad car wreck a couple of years ago, I realized that s*it happens. Even at 45. If you are young, you may not think about it. But I don't think you want to be stuck in a hospital in a developing country.

I have a specific spend that makes the CSR worth it for me - I spend a ton on cruising, which codes as general travel. The CSR and the new WF Autograph Journey are the best cards I know of for cruises. The difference between 2x and 3x, assuming 2cpp, is worth about 2% incrementally. $12, 500 in cruise charges makes up the effective AF.

If WF gets better transfer partners, they may steal my cruise spend away from Chase.

Instead of Cancelling, I'd downgrade to either a Chase Sapphire Pereferred or a Chase Freedom Flex.

I JUST signed up for this card BECAUSE of PP restaurants for a trip I have in August to and from two airports with restaurant options. I'm very ticked about the short notice of this announcement.

I had a flight cancellation recently and was rebooked on a 1 stop flight instead. With CSR + authorized user, my family enjoyed free nice lounge access with nice breakfast food + meals at 2 restaurants (once at start and another at the one stop). The meals alone were worth $110 each (Priority pass card holder + guest credit for each card holder). That was totally worth it for us. Sad to see it go

How does one get 2.4m chase points? Just by constantly signing up for cards and downgrading or cancelling? 6:05?
