LEGO Star Wars 75252 UCS Imperial Star Destroyer Review! (2019)

The LEGO Star Wars 2019 UCS Star Destroyer Devastator (75252) is an immaculate LEGO set. To me it's sole flaw is the Minifigures. Two Imperial officers just don't do it for me. For shame. 4784 Pieces for $700 is very of putting to many who feel 10 cents per piece is a religious belief. LEGO used many LARGE & UNIQUE pieces which undoubtably drove up the cost. The way I look at it is that this Imperial Star Destroyer is HUGE. It's a premium LEGO star Wars set which already has a premium on it. The set has a very sturdy technic frame and great connection points for the Star Destroyers panels! Drop your thoughts on the LEGOBStar Wars 75252 UCS Imperial Star Destroyer Devastator below!

MandR: "Just because you see a AT-AT in the background doesn't mean we are getting a UCS AT-AT"
2 Years Later: Gets UCS AT-AT

You want a UCS Sandspeeder?
Step 1 : Put your UCS Snowspeeder in the Sun for few days .
Step 2 : Don't steal this joke.

1:50 “some people took this as a hint for a future UCS set” if only he knew at the time

Illegal building techniques
Ryan: "is that, legal?"
Lego: "I will make it legal"

When you realise the guy who designed this set also made the original UCS X-Wing, suddenly the weird colours on display make sense.

I love how the Mjolnir is a piece of the set.

Makes absolutely no sense why they didn't replace the colored parts you could see with grey ones.

I'm actually very surprised in the gaps where the color bleeds through. You would think they would have figured that out by now.

For a gazillion grey plates, it probably is an ok price. If you're interested in LEGO pieces that aren't grey plates, this isn't the set for you.

12:32 That "antenna" that you were mentioning is actually the tractor beam targeting array from the ISD class I, and when you flip it down it's supposed to be a communications tower from the ISD class II

I'm surprised that haven't done a UCS Luke's Landspeeder yet with how much Lego loves that set

Incredible build but I still gotta stand by the falcon being a better deal for your money, really just a display piece preference

After watching the review and seeing the set up close and personal, is this set overpriced? That's the hot topic. I personally don't feel it is. I just dislike the figure selection. What do you think about the set?

Those turret designs are absolutely gorgeous. The one different turret on each side is an ion cannon battery and the others are turbolasers.

Shame about those coloured parts showing but I will certainly get one of these when I've saved up enough. (Might also shop around for a discount)

The fact you can see the colorful internal structure from the outside of a UCS set is just ridiculous.

Ryan - that box art background at 1.49 which you say features either an AT-AT being built or a Crane Walker has a very familiar shape to the right of the walker. So much so, that I can give you a real world location for it - Calshot Spit and the docks beside Fawley Power Station on the west side of Southampton Water in Hampshire, England. Those locations were used during filming of SOLO in 2017. They doubled for the Core Worlds industrial planet of Corellia and Coronet City and in particular were the location for the dockside speeder chase between Han, Qi'ra, and Moloch. I think it is more likely to be a Crane Walker than a partially built AT-AT as here it is shown standing 'ankle' deep in water.
